

Ryan Lee Oster of St. Cloud, Minnesota passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the age of 37. He was born on December 5, 1986 in Litchfield, MN, where he grew up.
Ryan graduated from Litchfield Senior High School in 2005, where he was on the swim team and golf team. He was also in choir, played the trumpet in the marching band, and participated in HS theater.
In high school Ryan worked at SuperValu and after graduation he moved to Willmar, MN and started his first restaurant job at the Green Mill delivering pizzas. Within a short time he started working in the kitchen as a cook and bartender. This started his career in the restaurant business. He was the manager at Pizza Hut in St. James, server and cook at Applebees in St. Cloud, cook and bartender at TGI Fridays in St. Cloud, kitchen manager at Buffalo Wild Wings in Monticello then was transferred to the Buffalo Wild Wings in St. Cloud as kitchen manager and was promoted to General Manager. He was with them until 2023 then he left to work as the kitchen manager at the Red Goat in Watkins, MN. Ryan was very well respected by his coworkers and they knew he would always be there for them no matter what they needed.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Graphenteen; grandparents, Earl and Clarice Redepenning; and his cats (longtime companions), Iris and Marbles.
He is survived by his parents, Brenda and Rob Oster; Mike Redepenning; siblings, Dan (Olivia) Oster, Tim (Sara) Oster, Michelle (Brett Welker) Oster, Jordan (Maddie) Redepenning, their daughter, Naomi; niece, Lily; nephew/Godson, Luke; grandparents, Rosie Graphenteen and Ron and Ruth Oster; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His friends were so important to him, he considered them family.
Ryan loved his family deeply when he would call any one of us, we would prepare to be on the phone for a while (sometimes for 2+ hours). He also loved to cook for family and friends and was very creative when cooking and served many delicious meals. Ryan was kind, caring, supportive, had an infectious smile, and had a heart of gold.
He enjoyed playing video games and golfing. Ryan was a huge fan of the MN Wild and enjoyed watching the MN Vikings and WWE along with television shows and would watch the same ones (all seasons) several times. He was so happy when he was playing with Lily and Luke (niece and nephew), he had a way of making them laugh which made him laugh. He was a big kid at heart.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Philip 821 E. 5th St., Litchfield, MN on Friday, August 2nd at 11:00 am with visitation from 10:00-11:00 am. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, August 1st from 4:00-7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Church of St. Philip 821 E. 5th St. Litchfield, MN
Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
