Ruby Ethel Alexon

Age 94, passed away August 13, 2026, at her residence in Richfield, MN. She was born March 9, 1932, in Webster Township to Russell and Gladys Jessen, and was the fourth of six children. After graduating from Northfield High School, Ruby met her husband James Alexon and together they raised three children, Kathleen, Kenneth and Kristy. As a devoted mother, she attended all her children's sporting events. Her love of sports extended to avidly watching the Twins and Vikings games on television. Ruby enjoyed cribbage, reading, country music and dance. She spoke fondly of the barn dances her parents hosted on their farm in Northfield. After the loss of her husband she took up square dancing and used her talents to sew matching outfits for herself and her partner, traveling all over the Twin Cities to attend dances.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Kristy and Husband James, and is survived by daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Kenneth Schoenborn, son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Barbara Alexon, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The love she showed and the hugs she gave will truly be missed.

There will be no planned formal gathering. However, in remembrance of Ruby, give someone a hug and tell them how much they mean to you.
