Ronald Larry Miller (Ron) of Maple Grove, MN passed away on April 17, 2025 at the age of 88. Born on April 7, 1937 in Federal Dam, MN and graduated as co-valedictorian from Boy River High School in 1955.
He began driving gravel truck for his father’s construction business at age 10. He held a distinguished 35 year career as draftsman with Duluth Steel Fabricators. Ron was a ‘jack of all trades and master of many’. An extraordinary human being, husband, father and family man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. A lifelong outdoorsman; enjoying hunting, fishing and simply being in nature.
Preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Fern Miller; his sisters, Patricia Ware, Norma Wolske and Judy Monette.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Rosalie,
of 67+ years and their children; Lori, Rhonda (Pete) and Tom; sister Marsha Sather and many nieces and nephews.
The family effusively thanks the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at both Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids and Wedum Residential Hospice, Brooklyn Park; for the exceptional care, compassion and grace our husband, father and family received the last days.
Family and friends are invited to attend an intimate celebration to honor Ron at the Leech Lake Recreational Area picnic pavilion, immediately following the annual Leech Lake Ojibwe Honor Guard Service at the cemetery; both in Federal Dam on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
