Ronald Vance Grazzini, age 92, of Minneapolis, MN passed away on April 23, 2025. He was born April 25, 1932 to Giocondo Grazzini and Luella “Mickey” (Johnston) Grazzini in Minneapolis, MN. Ron graduated from Roosevelt High School before proudly serving his country in the Korean War. Upon returning home, he pursued his passion for cooking and purchased the Knapp House Supperclub in Wisconsin. He later enjoyed a long and accomplished career with Twin City Tile, where he rose to the position of Superintendent. One of his proudest professional achievements was leading the tile installation for the Lowry Tunnel in downtown Minneapolis.
After enduring many Minnesota winters, he packed up his RV and relocated to Ocala, Florida, where he resumed tile installation work. He also landed a job at Disney World Orlando as Train Conductor. Later in life, he took on a new adventure, driving buses for Mears Transportation. Ron made many friends along the way that meant the World to him. At 84, he finally decided to retire and move back to the Twin Cities.
Ron is survived by his children, David (Molly) Grazzini, Karen Hochsprung; grandchildren, Nick Thull (Nicole Felt), Olivia Grazzini, Braden Grazzini, Tyler Hochsprung; great-granddaughters, Paisley, Kinsley; sister-law, Geraldine Grazzini; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger V. Grazzini; sister, Renee Marigayle Pieper; brother-in-law, Bill Pieper; son-in-law, Todd Hochsprung.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Staff at Providence Place for their compassionate care of Ron. We also want to extend our gratitude to hospice in his final days.
Inurnment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 9:00 am.
