Roger Budnik

Roger was born April 18, 1936 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Victor and Norma (Luebke) Budnik. Roger graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High school with the class of 1954. He continued his education at Milwaukee School of Engineering. After serving in the US Army, Roger returned to marry Junice Maurer on June 25, 1960. Roger worked over 40 years as Plant Manager in multiple companies in Milwaukee, Waupun, and Baraboo, Wisconsin. He especially enjoyed retirement at his lake home in Arbor Vitae, Wisconsin while fishing and following his favorite Packers, Badgers, and Brewers.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years: June; son: Steve Budnik, Chaska, MN; brother: Elwood (Barbara) Budnik of Bellevue, WA; brother-in-law Richard Maurer, Manitowoc, WI; sister-in-law Cecilia Maurer, Manitowoc, WI; and 19 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Victor and Norma Budnik; sister-in-law Barbara Maurer; brother in law Charles Maurer; brother-in-law and his wife: Clifford and Delma Maurer.

The family will have a private ceremony honoring Roger. The family requests memorials be directed to the Arthritis Foundation in Roger’s name.
