Robert Louis Larson

Our beloved Husband, Dad, and Papa, Robert (Bob) Louis Larson, but known to those he loved most as Papa Bobby, passed away peacefully in his home on August 8, 2026 at the age of 62 surrounded by his family.

Bob was born in St Cloud, MN on April 3, 1964, the 2nd youngest of 10 kids. He graduated from Dassel-Cokato High School with the Class of 1982. He spent his entire childhood on the family farm in rural French Lake which instilled a lifelong passion for farming and hard work. He never ventured far and found his home with his wife Emy, right next door to the farm, where they raised their children and he stayed until the day he died. He was always the one to check in on the crops, check the rain gauge, was always up for a game of bloody knuckles in the back if the barn, working the fields, giving the baby calves at the farm their first introduction to life and was the one who could name every cow in the herd by number. Papa Bobby was a proud farmer but was even more proud of his girls and grandchildren. He was always rooting for them at any of their lifes adventures. And boy did he sure love his fountain diet coke, even if it was flat and a day old.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest & Dorothy Larson and brother David.

He leaves behind his wife, Emy, children Becky & Gary Guennigsman of Dassel, Laurie & Chad Breitsprecher of Waukon, Iowa, and Grandchildren Anyah Guennigsman, Cohen Guennigsman, Sawyer Breitsprecher and Harper Breitsprecher, brothers Loren, John, Michael & Tommy and sisters Karen, Deanna, Gail & Mariann and his best dog named Dude.

A special thank you to Ashley, Jess, Melanie and the rest of their team at Moments Hospice for the support during lifes most difficult times.

The funeral will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 17225 30th St NW, South Haven, at 11am on Saturday, August 15th with visitation 1 hour prior to service from 10am-11am. All friends and family are welcome.
