Robert "Bob" John Erickson

Robert "Bob" John Erickson left this earth on Thursday, July 2, 2026. He was born on February 16, 1947 to John and Eileen (Callahan) Erickson of Taconite, MN. He graduated from Greenway High School in Coleraine, MN in 1965. Shortly after, he was drafted into the Army and spent 13 months in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; and sister, Margaret.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Gustavsson) of 54 years; daughter, Lisa (Tim) Forster; granddaughter, Madelyn Forster, of California; daughter, Jodi Erickson (Mick Garrett) of Minnesota; sister, Alice (Larry) Sommer of Minnesota; and numerous other family members.

Bob was a lifetime member of the Vietnam Veterans Disabled American Veterans (DAV), where he served as Chapter 2 Commander and Minnesota State Commander and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) where he served several terms as Woodbury Chapter Commander and District 4 Commander. He was also a member of the Lucerne Moose Club, the Hesperia Elks, and DAV Chapter 92 in California. Bob kept busy serving Veterans and keeping in close contact with his many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at High Desert Church, 14545 Hook Blvd, Victorville, CA 92394, on Tuesday, July 21 at 11:00 AM.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Minnesota along with interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery toward the end of August. Details to follow.
