

Richard "Dick" Struck, 82, of Minneapolis, MN, passed away peacefully at his apartment at the Waters in Excelsior on June 2, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dick was born in Denver, CO, on June 20, 1943, to Mary (Mangan) and William Struck. He was raised alongside his two brothers and sister and graduated from Regis High School before attending Regis University. He enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Following his military service, Dick earned a Master's degree in Audiology from the University of Denver. During this time, he met his future wife, Kathy. Together, they built a loving family and raised two children, Amy and Jason.
Dick's career as an audiologist with ENT Professionals brought the family to Minneapolis, where he devoted more than 30 years to caring for patients before retiring.
In retirement, he enjoyed gardening, cooking, volunteering at the Landscape Arboretum, and cheering on the Wild, Gophers, and his son and grandson at their hockey games and cheering on his granddaughters in tennis and gymnastics.
Dick will be remembered for the loving care he gave to his wife, Kathy, and for his unwavering support and encouragement of his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched many lives.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Kapsner Struck; his parents, Bill and Mary Struck; his sister, Mary Jane Struck; his brothers, Bill and Harry Struck; and numerous in-laws.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Bakke (Neil); his son, Jason Struck (Kjersten); his grandchildren, Emma Liebe (Ethan), Greta and Mia Bakke, and Eleanor, Thomas, and Sam Struck; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
