Richard "Dick" Otis Hoggatt

Richard Otis Hoggatt 91, passed away on Friday. January 16, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. He was born on September 30, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa to Virginia and Walter Hoggatt.

Dick is survived by his wife, Sue, and children, Brian (Lori) Pietro, Desiree (Cory) Slagle, Dan (Jill) Heim and Tracie Heim-Broman. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many cherished family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Virginia and Walter; siblings, Walter, Bonnie, Donna and Jay; and children, Douglas, Walter and Pamela.

During his life, Richard ran three different pizza restaurants, worked for a parking company and was a caretaker at his apartment building.

When he wasn't working he enjoyed many hobbies such as hunting, fishing and golfing. In his later years, he enjoyed trips to the casino, watching the Minnesota Vikings and visiting with his friends and family. On Sunday mornings, his favorite place to be was in the front pew at church. His relationship with Jesus was of utmost importance to Richard.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Revive Church, 7849 W Broadway, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445 at 1:30pm.
