Richard Charles Clark (Dick) of Eagan, Minnesota (formally of Minnetonka) passed away on May 3, 2025 at the age of 94 years old. He was born on January 31, 1931 in San Francisco, California, where he grew up, attended San Francisco State College, met his wife, Doris, and married. Dick worked as a Biology teacher in California for 13 years and, in 1968, moved his family to Minnesota where he accepted the position as a Science Consultant for the State Department of Education. He held that position for 21 years. Dick was also involved in the Twin Cities Cursillo.
Dick was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Mathiesen; stepfather, Henry Mathiesen; brother, James Clark. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Doris Clark; his children, Catherine (Phillip) Prokopowicz, Cynthia Clark, and Michael (Elaine) Clark; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at New Perspectives and the doctors and nurses at Regions Hospital for the care and compassion they showed Dick in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Becket Catholic Church in Eagan, MN, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Private family interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
