Rebecca Ruth Fry

Becky Fry of Apple Valley, MN, was born November 10, 1936 in Whittemore, Iowa, daughter of Edgar J. and Anna H. (Wendel) Otto. She realized her eternal salvation in Christ Jesus her Savior on October 11, 2023. She was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church, West Bend, Iowa by her pastor father on November 28, 1936. Instruction in the Christian faith was at St. Stephanus Lutheran Church and School in St. Paul, MN and she confirmed her Baptismal faith on April 2, 1950.

Becky graduated from Central Lutheran Grade School in St. Paul, MN having attended seven years there. Her High School years were spent at St. Paul Central High School with graduation in June, 1954. After High School she attended Concordia University in St. Paul for one year. She then transferred to the University of Minnesota where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Becky was united in Holy Matrimony to Vic G. Fry on December 19, 1959. This union was blessed by three children: Michele (Frick), Timothy, and Naomi (Teske). Because Vic was a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod pastor, his ministry took them to several locations in the United States and in Canada; so Becky lived in various places and was privileged to serve with Vic as help-meet.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, mother, brother Edgar Jr., and sister Rachel Wagner. She is survived by her husband Vic and her children Michele (David), Timothy, and Naomi (David); her sister Wendy Carey; her grandchildren Elizabeth and Christopher Frick and Jack Teske; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Through faith in Jesus the Christ as her personal Savior, Becky is now in Heaven with her Lord. To God be all the glory!

Celebration of Life will be Monday October 23rd. Visitation at 10:00 am, Service at 11:00 am, with a Luncheon following. Messiah Lutheran Church, 16725 Highview Lane, Lakeville, MN 55044.
