Nancy Carole Sundem

Nancy C. Sundem, Age 91 passed away Monday July 24, 2023 at Sunrise Senior Living Community in Minnetonka, MN from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Agnes Schroeder, her husband of 60 years, Alan and her brother Herbert Schroeder Jr. Nancy is survived by daughters Debbie, Pam (Bob) Marsh; sons Scott (Julie), Kevin (Karla); grandchildren Meghan (Bret) Wittke, David Marsh, Elise (Sheldon) Higgins, Shelby Marsh, Haley (Seth) Havens, Trent, Alison, and Andrea and great-grandchildren Samantha and Sierra Higgins and Todd Wittke. Nancy attended the University of Minnesota and worked as a dental hygienist for many years. She and her husband Alan settled in Bloomington to raise their family and spent their retirement in Gilbert, AZ before returning to Minnesota. Nancy was a devoted wife and mother and an avid sports fan of all levels: little league and up. She also actively participated in her favorite sports activities such as golf, tennis and skiing with family and friends. She loved to travel and experience new adventures. Her love, friendship, and optimistic outlook on life will be greatly missed. A private family ceremony will be held at Fort Snelling. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association to help fight this disease at Alz.org.
