Nancy Louise Cauley of Rosemount, MN passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 75. She spent the last days of her life in the home she made with her husband of 55 years, surrounded by her family and friends. Her passing was peaceful and beautiful.
Nancy was born on April 4th, 1951, in Graceville, MN to Dan and Frey (Axzine) Lane. She had so many good memories of growing up on the farm with her parents and siblings: Dick, Sister Gerrie, Sharon, Pat, Steve and Marie
Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Roger Cauley, on September 26th, 1970. Together they made a beautiful home for their four children: Dawn, Renee, Colleen and DJ. Her and Roger have lived together in that home for 52 years. You can feel the love in the house the minute you walk in – it’s like a warm hug from Nancy.
She had many roles over the years, but her favorite and most important roles were that of wife and mother. If you knew Nancy, you knew her family because she was always sharing stories and talking about them. She loved her husband and family so much.
She had a creative and artistic side to her, always making something or coming up with ideas for her next project. She loved flowers and enjoyed planting them every spring in her window box and on her patio. The flowers in the window box are a little sad right now; they are mourning with us.
She loved spending time at their cabin – napping in the upstairs bedroom, overlooking the lake. She made the cabin into a beautiful home and there are so many wonderful memories there. The annual crab boil to celebrate the May birthdays – even though she didn’t like seafood (“just save me an ear of corn”). Long days on the pontoon and long nights around a campfire. Celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary.
She loved antiquing and finding a good deal. She had so much fun when she had her shop “Vintage Marketplace” in Farmington. She loved all the people she met and made really great friends during this period of her life. She also loved doing her Ebay. Her last sale was a small plastic bag of Polly Pockets – for $125!! Always a hustler.
Nancy will be missed so much. She was our rock, our leader, our everything. She was Queen Bee. She was Mrs. Roger Cauley. She was Mom. She was Momma. She was GM. She was Nanc. She was the best.
