Michael "Mickey" Anthony Nelson

Preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Frances Nelson; first wife Suzanne; brothers Larry Christensen and Francis (TR) Nelson.

Survived by his former wife and loving companion Donna Nelson; children, Tracy Nelson, Eric Nelson(Cinthia), and Michael-John Nelson; sister Carol (Larry) Franzen; brothers Donald Nelson and Jeffrey (Lori) Nelson; grandchildren, Joseph (Christine) Nelson, Justin, Jacob, and Jorgen Engelmann, Bryce Ebeling, Skyler and Sicily Nelson; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many great friends.

Some of the things Mike enjoyed was boating, fishing, curling, and partying with his many friends. Mike had the wonderful gift of gab and could tell a good joke. Mike lived the last 29 years enjoying his sobriety. He was a great father, grandfather, loving companion, and a friend to all. He was a devoted advocate for seniors, veterans, and his fellow alcoholics anonymous friends. He was a member of the American Legion (past commander Eden Prairie Post) and a member of AMVETS Minnesota (past department commander, NEC and finance man).

Services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the American Legion Post #172, 260 4th Ave SE, Osseo, MN 55369. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM - 1:00PM with the service beginning at 1:00PM.
