

Michael W. King of Otsego, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the age of 73. Michael "Mike" was born on May 5, 1952 to Archie and Peggy King in Minneapolis, MN.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Katharine "Kathy"; his children, Ari King, Jodi (John) Strickland, and Susan (Tim) Gassman; grandchildren, Megan, Joshua, Haley, Jackson, Jessie, and Tristan.
Mike proudly served his country for 32 years in the United States military, dedicating his career to both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. A Vietnam Veteran, he achieved the rank of Senior Master Sergeant and served with honor and distinction throughout his long and committed career.
Mike and Kathy shared a love for laughter and adventure. They enjoyed joking around together, making memories, and laughing often. Their love of warm weather led them to spend winters in Gulf Shores, where they stayed for three months at a time—creating cherished moments together. Family and friends meant everything to Mike, and he was known for his casual, funny T-shirts and witty sayings that always brought smiles to those around him. Above all, Mike deeply loved his wife, children, and grandchildren, cherishing every moment with them. His humor, warmth, and devotion to those closest to him will be remembered forever.
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved parents; cherished siblings; and many other loved ones who now welcome Mike into eternal peace.
In accordance with Mike’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
The family would like to thank North Memorial Hospice and the Wellstead of Rogers for the care and compassion they showed Mike in his final months.
