Michael Gene Albert

Michael (Mike) Gene Albert, age 77 of Maple Grove, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 20th. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Rita, children Heather Mehl (Todd), Melissa Bottolfson (Jeremy), Patrick Matthews, seven grandchildren, Isaac, Emilyn, Dylan, Layton, Brooklyn, Dennis and Daniel. Mother Esther Albert, Brother Steve Albert (Rita), many nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his Father, Emil Albert and Brother Ed Albert.

Mike retired from Ford Motor Company of St. Paul, MN where he worked for 37 years. He will be remembered for his love of donuts, silly dad jokes, White Castle and his strong devotion to his faith, family and friends. Mike’s amazing presence on this earth will be greatly missed but we rest easy knowing he is free from pain and able to walk once again accompanied by the Lord.

A celebration of life will be held at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church 7401 County Road 101 in Maple Grove, MN on Monday July 31st. Visitation will be from 10:00am-11:00am with the service immediately following.

A special thank you to the entire Methodist Hospital Hospice team and the amazing caregivers that surrounded Mike and his family throughout his courageous battle with PSP.
