Mary Ellen Peet

Mary Ellen Peet of Kimball, Minnesota, passed away on January 8th, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born on June 25th, 1937 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Joseph and Millie Schmidt. She was united in marriage on August 10th, 1957 to Thomas Peet. Together, they raised their children, Julie, Jim and Jerry.

Mary Ellen was a dedicated employee to O’Gara’s for 43 years. During her time there she made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed spending time on the North Shore with her husband, yearly trips to the lake for the week with her family, bowling and vacationing in Hawaii with her wonderful friends. She was an avid reader and was passionate about sports, especially the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. She loved these last few years making more memories with her great grandchildren.

Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents, Joseph and Millie Schmidt; brother, Don Schmidt; brother- in- law, Tom Francis.

Mary Ellen is survived by her children, Julie (Doug), Jim, Jerry; grandchildren, Michael, Nicole (Joe), Jason, Jesse, Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Kade, Aiden, Liam, Ava, Ellis.

Family and friends are invited to attend a service at Lake Union Church in South Haven, Minnesota, on Saturday, April 6th at 11:00. Visitation with the family will begin one hour prior to the service.
