Marvin Edward Nickell

We are sad to announce the passing of Marvin Edward Nickell, age 94 who passed away peacefully on Friday August 4th, 2023 at St. Gertrude's in Shakopee, Minnesota.

Marvin was born on September 1, 1928 in Almena Wisconsin to Tilly and Edward Nickell. He joined the Navy on July 16, 1946 and served until August 31, 1949. He married Doris Mae Albrecht on April 14,1951 and together had four children, Mark, Nancy, Bob and Rod.

Marvin is survived by his children Mark (Amy) Nickell, Nancy (Nickell) Nelson, Robert (Rita) Nickell and Rodney (Tina) Nickell; his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and his surviving siblings Glen Nickell and Darlene Erickson.

Marvin loved bowling, fishing and playing golf with family and friends. He also loved staying busy doing fun projects around the house.

The Celebration of Life for Marvin will be held September 22, 2023 12:00 pm at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery N4063 Veterans Way Spooner, WI. 54801
