Marjorie Ann Roth

Marjorie Zipoy Roth, of Minneapolis, MN passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on July 1, 1932, in South Minneapolis, MN, where she grew up and lived until 2006 when she moved to Coon Rapids.

Marjorie married Dale Roth of St. Paul, MN, in 1957 and they were married until his death in 2024.

Marjorie worked as a teacher’s assistant at Cooper Elementary School in the 1970’s (the very same school she attended as a little girl) where she was affectionately known as “the milk lady” because she served milk to the kids during break. She was actively involved in the Parent and Teachers Association (PTA).

Preceded in death by her husband, Dale Roth; her parents, John “Budd” Zipoy and Margaret Zipoy. She is survived by her sister, Jacqueline (Doug) Nelson; children, David (Lydia) Roth, Phillip (Libby) Roth, Greg Roth, Colleen (Rich) Roloff; grandchildren, Monaca, Christy, Michelle, Vanessa, Josh, Travis, Lindsey, Zack, Nick; as well as 10 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the kind people in memory care at Fremont Village Senior Living for the care and compassion they showed Marge in her final days. They made her smile during our visits.
