It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Marilyn Bergerson-Zaic, of New Hope and previously of Hibbing, MN. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to so many. Marilyn passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Zaic; her parents, Gertrude and E.O. Bergerson; her brother, Don (Barb) Bergerson; brother-in-law, Larry (Kay) Cunningham; daughter-in-law, Debbie (Mike) Zaic. She is survived by her sister, Kay Cunningham; daughter, Nancy (Bill) Wagner; son, Mike (Barb) Zaic; daughter, Karen (Mitch) Zaic; son, Dan (Sandy) Zaic. Marilyn loved her family and was very involved in their lives. She will be severely missed by her children, and fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Matthew Wagner, Jacob (Ellie) Wagner, Ally Zaic, Megan (Ryan) Ellingson-Zaic, Hattie Zaic, Josie Zaic, Addie Zaic, Erica (Brandon) Zaic, Morgan Zaic, Nolan Zaic, Amelia Zaic; great-grandchildren, Camila and Atticus Wagner, Eleanor and Lillian Ellingson-Zaic.
Marilyn's infectious smile, generous spirit, and love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at Arbor Lakes and The BeeHive of Maple Grove for the amazing, compassionate care Marilyn received.
A private family service was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery for Marilyn. Bobby and Buster are once again united.
There will be a Celebration of Life and Release of Doves on Thursday, May 29 at The LookOut in Maple Grove from 4pm - 8pm.
