Marilyn Ann Laine

Marilyn Ann Laine of Hutchinson, Minnesota passed away in her home on Thursday, May 28th at the age of 73. She was born on July 28, 1952 in Hibbing, Minnesota and grew up in Keewatin, MN with her parents, Milan and Margaret Pernar, and brother, Vladimir "Butch" Pernar.

She graduated from Keewatin High School in 1971 and worked as a Quality Control Inspector at Hutchinson Technology Incorporated for many years. Marilyn later found a career in customer service working at various local stores such as Econo Foods and Cashwise before her retirement.

She was actively involved in the Hutchinson Animal Shelter for a number of years where she made many good friends. Marilyn and her husband, David Laine, would often adopt senior dogs to give them a loving home in their twilight years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Laine, and brother, Vladimir "Butch" Pernar.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Adam Laine.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Hutchinson Event Center on Friday, June 12th, 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 PM.
