Margaret "Marge, Margie" Mary Brown Jacoboski, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 20, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on October 30, 1942, in St. Paul, MN, Margaret was the cherished daughter of Jacob and Blanche Brown and the youngest sibling to her brother, Chuck and sister, Susan, who have all preceded her in death.
Marge's journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to family and community. She graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1960, setting the stage for a life filled with learning and teaching others. Her marriage to the love of her life, Ron Jacoboski, on November 21, 1964, was a testament to enduring love and partnership. They shared nearly 60 wonderful years together until Ron's passing in 2024.
Marge retired from the South Washington County School District, where she dedicated almost 30 years of service. Her work in the Community Education and Building and Grounds Departments was more than just a job; it was a way for her to connect with and enhance the lives of those around her.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, and hosting gatherings for her friends and family. She had a sense of adventure and after she and her husband retired, they moved to Southern California and enjoyed the nicer winter weather. She had a gift for finding the perfect words in any situation, a quality that endeared her to all who knew her, and made everyone feel welcome.
Her legacy lives on through her daughters, along with their spouses, Jenelle (Louis) and Laurie (Tom); and grandchildren, Matthew, Tommy, and Claire. Her great-grandchildren, Rayden, Logan, Madilyn, and Brodyn were a constant source of joy for her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate teams at Brighton Hospice and Arbor Lakes Senior Living Memory Care for their gentle care, unwavering support, and dedication to our mom during the final stages of her journey. Their kindness and expertise brought peace to our mom and comfort to our family, making this journey easier for all of us.
A private celebration of life will be held at the end of October 2026. Her ashes and those of her husband Ron will be spread as per their wishes at a later date.
