Lois Elaine Peterson

Lois Elaine Peterson, age 87, of Golden Valley, Minnesota passed away of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma on Sunday, December 8, 2024. She was born November 17, 1937 in Boston, MA.

Lois attended North Park College and Newport School of Nursing. She enjoyed a long career as a surgical nurse at the U of MN Hospital.

Lois brought a human touch and compassion to her patients. She had a strong belief in the Lord and enjoyed telling people about Jesus. She treated everyone with love and kindness. Lois reached out to help those in need with selflessness and endless interest in others.

She spent many winters in Florida enjoying the snowbird life and cherished her summers in Minnesota on Lake Sylvia. She was blessed to have many memories of traveling with her friends and mothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Eric and Edith Peterson.

Lois is survived by a long list of family and friends, including Karen Wallace, Jean Whalen, Lorraine Stevenson, and Marion Iverson. She was surrounded by several loved ones. We are grateful for the care of Carol Rose, a former classmate.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Covenant Living of Golden Valley at a later date.
