Lois Ann Holmboe

Lois Ann Holmboe, daughter of Fred Vonderharr and Regina Vonderharr (Tasto), was born November 27th, 1948. She attended school in Madison, MN, and lived on the family farm. Many people will know her as Toots.

Lois was a baptized Catholic and a dedicated member to God. She loved being surrounded by people she cared for. Her heart was gold and she would do anything for you. She was a strong willed woman, some may say hard headed, but she always did what was right.

After finding her husband, Bruce Holmboe, she became an instant mother to two boys, Paul and Mark, who she would love and care for as her own. Her love left an everlasting touch that only a mother could fill even though her boys weren't hers she never stopped loving them. Later on Lois was able to conceive her own child, Jennifer. Throughout life Lois always loved being around family and enjoying time with her grandkids.

In her free time, Lois loved to hunt, travel, and spend time with family. If she wasn’t preparing food for everyone she was being a caring mother. Her fight with lung cancer ended on November 6, 2019, when she passed. Lois was the glue to the family and in her passing she is greatly missed.

Lois is survived by sons, Paul and Mark; grandchildren, Angel (Jashawn), Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Mariah, Daniel, Serenity, Amara, Jashawntay Jr.; brothers: Bernard (Tress) Vonderharr, Eugene (Anne) Vonderharr, Leroy (Bernie) Vonderharr, Fred Vonderharr; sister: Alverna Dahlhemer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Regina Vonderharr; brothers, Keeneth Vonderharr, Ronald Vonderharr; sister, Sr Regina Vonderharr, Marlys Schumacher; grandchild, Kristine Holmboe.

A combined Memorial Service for Bruce, Lois, and Jennifer will be on Thursday, October 10th, 2024 at 1pm at Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy. 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432. Visitation with the family begins at 12pm.
