Linda is the daughter of Orlin and Nettie Rachau.
On May 25, 1956, Linda and Jack Lofgreen were married in Minneapolis. As a devoted spouse of a USAF serviceman, Linda followed Jack to numerous locations while he was enlisted. Once Jack retired from the USAF in 1974, they purchased a home in Rockford, MN.
She lovingly cared for many children at her home daycare throughout the years and those children were like family while in her care.
She suffered a debilitating stroke in November of 2000 and was cared for at home until moving to the Legacy of Delano with her husband in August of 2018.
Linda is survived by her son, John Lofgreen of Princeton, MN; daughter, Bambi (Bill) Perrizo of St. Michael, MN; sister, Barbara Elser of St. Louis Park, MN; Grandchildren, Amber (Jeff) Ingalls, Shalyn Vetsch, Callista (Frank) Kermend, Dalton Vetsch, and Riley Lofgreen; Great-Grandchildren, Alexandra Vetsch, Ben Ingalls, Lance Ingalls, Gavin Kermend, Elliana Kermend, Abigail Kermend, and Owen Kermend.
Linda will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile and kind loving words. Linda is now resting with the Lord, enjoying all the family, friends and things that made her happy before her stroke.
Linda was buried at her husband’s side at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN on October 8, 2021.
You can only have one mother
Patient kind and true;
No other friend in all the world,
Will be the same to you.
When other friends forsake you,
To mother you will return,
For all her loving kindness,
She asks nothing in return.
As we look upon her picture,
Sweet memories we recall,
Of a face so full of sunshine,
And a smile for one and all.
Sweet Jesus, take this message,
To our dear mother up above;
Tell her how we miss her,
And give her all our love.
