Linda Rae Gobin

Linda Rae Haugen Gobin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 9th, 2024 after a courageous four-and-a-half-year battle with lung cancer. She was 81 years old.

Linda was born on April 30, 1943, in Cresco, Iowa, to Beverly and Gordon Haugen. She grew up in a large family with seven siblings. On August 26, 1961, she married the love of her life, Ronald Gobin. Together, they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage and raised four daughters: Roxanne, Laurene, Lisa, and Jennifer.

Linda worked various jobs throughout her life before deciding to return to school to earn her administrative assistant degree. She then began a fulfilling career with Olmsted County, where she worked diligently until her retirement in 2013.

Linda found joy in many hobbies over the years. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing euchre with friends and family. A devoted fan of Elvis Presley and a lover of all things pink, Linda’s vibrant personality brought warmth and light to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her firstborn daughter, Roxanne; her parents, Beverly and Gordon; her brother, Richard; and her sister, Cheryl.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Ron; daughters, Laurene (Johnny) Radford, Lisa Blankenship, and Jennifer (Dario) Andrijasevic; grandchildren, Lori Rodgers, Steven (Christina) Grube, Jeremy (Samantha) Grube, David (Amber) Grube, Michele Grube, Ryan (Lindsey) Blankenship, Samuel Blankenship, Alex Blankenship, Isabella Andrijasevic, and Giuliana Andrijasevic; her siblings, Dee Tibbitts, Roger (Julie) Haugen, Randy (Sarah) Haugen, Ronald Haugen, and Genise (Dennis) Aretz; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and cherished loved ones.

Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
