He is survived by his loving wife, Gretchen; two sons, Bradley (Alycia) and Jonathan; and two grandchildren, Renata and Roman. Further survived by brothers and sister, Fred (Judy), Ed (Kat), Nancy, and Bob; and many nephews and nieces.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr. and Elizabeth; sisters, Mary Ann and Mary; brothers, Henry Jr. and wife Susan, Gerald "Gerry", and Charles "Charlie".
Larry grew up in a modest home with a large family. There, he learned honesty, faith, love, and compassion. He received his BA from Western Illinois University. He has been a glass artist since 1980 and has focused his efforts in warm and hot glass since 1997. Larry has been a guest instructor at Arrowmont in Tennessee, Memphis School of Art and Watkins College of Art and Design as well as Glass Craft Expo in Las Vegas and numerous venues across the country. He is author of the Art of Glass Fusing and The Finer Points of Glass Fusing. His art is collected in private collections worldwide.
A memorial Mass will be held at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis on September 8, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Health Partners Palliative & Hospice Care Center in St. Paul MN, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Alzheimer’s Society.
