Beloved Father & ‘Grampy’

Age 88, of Maplewood, MN passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. LaVerne was a Korean War Veteran, member of the No. St. Paul VFW and American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 7 sisters. He is survived by his daughter Rita (Dave) Williams; grandson Aaron; granddaughter Christine; 3 great-grandchildren, Alexandria (Shane), Austin and Michala; sister Geri (Paul); brother Edward (Lavonne); and many nieces and nephews; special friend Marge and her family and special neighbor Bob. A graveside service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at 12:45PM on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Memorial service following at VFW 1323 Sibley Memorial Highway, Mendota Heights, MN, 651-688-7408. Memorials are preferred to Health Partners Hospice, Lakeview Hospital or VA of Minneapolis.
