Kenneth D Kono

Kenneth D Kono, age 76, of Maple Grove, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2023 surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Frances. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary; sons, Brian (Daisy), Jeff (fiance, Tabitha); grandchildren, Brianna, Megan, Dalton, Jacob, Cooper; sisters, Peg, Marcia; as well as nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ken served four years in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and bowling. Ken's greatest joy was his grandchildren.

We wish to thank the S600 ICU caregivers at North Memorial for their compassionate care and to the Minneapolis Veterans Healthcare staff for the excellent care Ken received there.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 10:30am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9100 93rd Ave. N., Brooklyn Park, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
