Julia Ann Rude

Julia "Judy" Ann Rude nee McGrath, age 84, of Saint Paul, Minnesota passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025. She was a strong and independent woman who devoted her life to raising her children and creating a loving home.

Judy found joy in the simple pleasures of life—she was an avid reader, a puzzle enthusiast, a skilled card player, and a dedicated gardener. She also had a deep love for animals and was a safe haven for countless cats over the years. Known for her sinister wit, she had a sharp sense of humor that could both amuse and disarm, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew her. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale; her sisters, Frankie, Mary, and Peggy; her brother, Johnny; and her daughter-in-law, Cheryl.

Judy is survived by her children, Mike (Donna), Pat (Dawn), Joe, Kathie (Kimon), and Sean (Amy); as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love, resilience, and quick wit will live on in each of them.

A service to honor Judy’s life will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at St. Andrew’s Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi. Visitation at 10:00am with service at 11:00am, luncheon to follow.
