Judith Anne Jones

Judith (Judy) A. Jones, 73, was born March 8, 1951 in St. Cloud, MN to Walter and Mildred Hemmelgarn. Judy grew up in East Bethel MN and met her husband Richard (Rick) Jones. They were married on February 14, 1970, for almost 54 years. Rick and Judy continued to live in the East Bethel area raising 3 children. Judy lost her 15 month battle with Cancer on Monday February 10, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.

She Loved to work in her flowers and raise a garden every year. Canning many batches of assorted vegetables, jellies and jams. She volunteered on the East Bethel Fire Dept for over 10 years. She loved to spend time in the outdoors, fishing, watching the birds and enjoying campfires. She was a Huge Twins baseball fan and never missed a game. Over the years she also got into watching MN Vikings Football and MN Wild Hockey. She had a competitive nature with all games (dice and cards were her favorite along with Bingo). Family was number one to her and she loved to visit, laugh and loved all of them.

Judith is survived by her spouse Richard. Children: Jolene (Tom Moe) Stromlund, Brian (Jamie) Jones and Lisa Jones. She had 6 grandchildren that she dearly loved: Tyler (Sierra), Taylor, Bailey, Michael, Gracie, and Ryan. Also survived by her mother Mildred Hemmelgarn and 8 siblings: Edie Hemmelgarn, Edward (Bonnie) Hemmelgarn, Nancy (Rick) Hass, Rickie (Wendy) Hemmelgarn, Susie (Dean) Whittlef, Joanie (Steve) Smith, Steve (Shelly) Hemmelgarn and Scott (Jen) Hemmelgarn along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father Walter Hemmelgarn, sister Linda Hemmelgarn; infant twins Rickie and Julie and son Randy.

Celebration of life will be held later this spring.
