John Boyd Wibbels

John Boyd Wibbels of Eagan, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, March 29,2025 at the age of 85. He was born on November 25,1939 in Bejou, MN and later moved to Wilmar, MN.

He graduated from Wilmer High School in 1957 and then enlisted into the US navy.

John worked as a parts man from multiple car dealerships including Jay Kline Chevrolet, Anderson Cadillac, and lastly Valley Oldsmobile GMC, where he eventually retired.

He was actively involved in the MSRA, where he was an original member of over 50 years. His pride and joy was building and driving hot rods and engaging with the members of the MSRA.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Della Wibbels.

He is survived by his children, Gary Wibbels, Barbara (Pat) Garrett, Bonnie Rindahl, and Laura (Shane) Hanson; five granddaughters; and two grandsons.

The family would like to thank the VA Hospital and community for the amazing care and time that they gave to our dad. Also, many members of various hospitals and transitional care clinics and lastly, Midwest Hospice for their amazing care over the last two years for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the American Legion of Rosemount, 14590 Burma Ave W, Rosemount, MN 55068 with visitation from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
