John Michael Schiel

Funeral service will be held at Salem Lutheran Church on Tuesday October 13, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation to begin one hour prior to the service. Lunch will be served after the service.

John was born July 25, 1939 and grew up in South Minneapolis. He joined the Marine Corps December 1958 and served until February 1960. He married Roberta (Robertson) August, 1961 and moved to St. Cloud in 1975.

He is preceded in death by parents John Schiel & Elizabeth (Johnson) 2 children, Daniel and Michael and 3 siblings; Mary, Barbara and Richard.

Survived by his wife Roberta, daughter Rachel (Kent) Lind and sister Caroline (Larry) Londo, 6 grandchildren, Quenton, Michele, Ashley, Grace, Kaylee and Sophie, four great-grandchildren, Gray, Lucia, Miguel and Elise.

John will be remembered for his warmth, humor, devotion to his family and his commitment to serving others. His legacy will live on in all those who knew and loved him
