John "Buck" Osterbauer, age 92, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 25, 2026.
He is survived by his forever sweetheart and wife of 72 years, Muriel Osterbauer; their children, Brad Osterbauer (Suzie), Becky Allen (John), and Brent Osterbauer (Sue); 8 grandchildren, Trent (Cortney), Andy, Whitney, Jordan, Tyler (Emily), John, Ann, and Joe (Abby); and 10 great-grandchildren, Lexi, Ashdan, Colie, Jayden, Parker, Hailey, Remi, Cameron, Peyton, and Jaxon.
Buck lived life full of love and laughter, and his greatest joy was telling a “story” to brighten someone’s day. Buck never met a stranger. He was kind and generous to all, making sure everyone was included in the laughter. He will be remembered for his forever love of Muriel, his steady presence to his kids and grandkids, and the many, many lives he touched over the years. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He is already deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Central Baptist Church, 420 N. Roy St., St. Paul, MN 55104. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. The family invites you to share in a time of fellowship after the service.
