John Harvey Hughs

John Harvey Hughs, 78, of Ramsey, Minnesota, born on July 5, 1946, passed away unexpectedly due to a heart condition on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Remembered by his son, William (Renee) Hughs; daughter, Jodi Butcher, sisters, Mary Sue Epps, Lorna Hughs; stepdaughter, Brooke Johnson; grandchildren, Alyssa (Bash) Butcher, Rachel Butcher, Jacob, Bailey and Nathan Johnson, Kathryn Erickson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Hughs; brothers, Mickey, Frank, Robert Hughs; sister, Kathleen Hughs; parents, Wallace and Eunice Hughs.

Harvey grew up in Anoka County and settled in Ramsey, Minnesota, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.

Remarried in 1991 to Cathy. Harvey loved to repair small engines and taught me how to change a tire and check oil on my first car. He loved to play cribbage, he and Cathy played every day. Harvey worked at Pride engineering for many years, a company that his family started.

A private family service will be held in the fall.
