John was a resident of Bloomington, Minnesota, and is remembered in a humorous and lighthearted way.
John graduated from Washburn High School in 1968. He was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corps and served honorably during the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Florence Ballinger.
John is survived by his daughter, Cortni McCallister; grandchildren, Carson, Cheyann and Hunter Carroll; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Glynda Ballinger; sister, Pam Johnson; niece, Beth Rich; Glenn McCallister, as well as many relatives and friends.
He was a good guy.
