Janet Ruth Larsin

Janet R. Larsin of Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 71. She was born on May 4, 1953 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and grew up in North St. Paul. She graduated in 1971 from North Senior High. After several career paths, she finished her degree in dental assisting and loved working as a Health Partners Dental Assistant until she retired at 62.

Jan married Joe Larsin March 16, 1973, and they recently celebrated 51 years together, hand in hand- heart to heart. They enjoyed operating their food truck business together for over 20 years.

She was a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, auntie and friend. She was well known for her hugs and unconditional love and unending interest in everyone she knew.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ruth Stafsholt; brother, David Stafsholt; sister, Eldoris Koutek; as well as many wonderful friends and extended family. Survived by Joe, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her prayer was always for their health and happiness.

Janet was a hard worker and faced every obstacle with bravery, strength and grace. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She will be painfully missed.

The family would like to thank Regions hospital care staff for the care and compassion they showed Janet in her final days, as this was sudden and unexpected.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Janet's Life on August 25 from 12pm-4pm at Peder Pedersen Pavillion and Lions Park, 5524 Upper 146th St. N., Hugo, MN, 55038. Open House with luncheon buffet provided.
