James (Jake) Jacobson, age 86, passed away on February 27, 2025. The son of Norman and Adeline (McGowan) Jacobson and brother to Dennis. Survived by wife of 62 years Sonja and their children: Michael, wife Jill Fox and children Peter and Grace; Eric, wife Cynthia and children John and Daniel; and Jenny Anderson, husband Scott and children Christian and Evan. Also survived by sister-in-law Betty Jacobson and children Charlie (Ann) and Rachel, and family and friends.
Jake is a graduate of Wayzata H.S. and attended St. Cloud State. He retired from the Hopkins Post Office. Jake loved sports, especially the Vikings! He coached youth football, baseball and hockey. He loved his dogs!!
An Army vet, Jake will be interred at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. A Remembrance Reception will be at the Wayzata American Legion on March 16 from 2-4 PM.
