Howard Joseph Neisen, of Coon Rapids, MN, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born on September 1, 1939, in Alexandria, MN.
Howard worked as a technical designer for 36 years at Univac. He was in public service as a councilman and mayor for Mounds View, MN, and as a MN State Representative.
He was actively involved in the Epiphany Church (and the diner at the state fair) and North Side Life Care Center. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching his granddaughters ride horses and play hockey, and spending time with family and friends.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Feda); brothers, Ambrose, Clem, Ronald; sister, Irma Schultz. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Diane (Spading); daughters, Juanita Neisen, Jean Kampa; granddaughters, Anna (Joe) Kampa, Tina Kampa; sister, Mary (Dick) Robischon; family friend, Nancy (Boyd) Palsgrove.
The family would like to thank Brighton Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Howie in his final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Epiphany Church, 1900 11th Avenue NW, Coon Rapids, MN, on Monday March 17, 2025, at 10:30 AM.
