

Greta Ann Stryker, 96, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, died Monday, May 25, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.
Greta was born March 20, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to the Twin Cities in 1952.
Greta is survived by her children, Susan (Annie Child) of Minneapolis; Richard (Patrick Allen) of Reno, Nevada; and Donald (Kristal Leebrick) of St. Paul; grandchildren, Marlee and Ned Leebrick-Stryker, both of St. Paul, and Lindsay Allen, of Portland, Oregon; sister, Carole Shapiro of Highland Park, Illinois; five nieces; one nephew; many grandnieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Stryker; parents, Fay and Julius Kaiser; and sister, Dale Krishef.
Greta loved art and theater. She worked for nearly 40 years at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, where she cultivated deep friendships with many of her coworkers.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at Temple Israel, 2323 Fremont Ave. S., Minneapolis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Minneapolis Institute of Art or Temple Israel.
