Duane Donald Schnaible

Duane was born on August 23, 1945, in Hoven, South Dakota, and grew up there with his family. He graduated from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Duane worked for IDS - Ameriprise for 35 years. In his younger days, Duane was an avid skier and held many positions in the Twin Cities Ski Association. He also enjoyed exploring our National parks, especially Banff and Alaska.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Justina Schnaible.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne (Roxy); son, Adam (Jen); daughter, Jenny (Josh) Engel; five grandchildren, Jackson, Ava, Callen, Carter, and Quinn; sister, Shirley Keller in Yacolt, WA; Pastor Mary Lou Gruebele in Eureka, SD; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Duane will be dearly missed as a family man who loved to cheer his kids & grandkids on at sporting events and to spend time at the lake with them.

His family and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Duane’s life at a date later this spring followed by interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Those details will be updated on this page accordingly.
