Donald John Meyer

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Marge Meyer, and brother Bob. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Floreen, and children Brett, Melanie (Chris) Steensland, and grandchildren Natalie and Jack. He is also survived by his brother Ron.

He was in the army for two years and worked for Buckbee-Mears Company in St. Paul for 39 years until they closed. In his earlier years he enjoyed fishing, biking and gardening.

For their 25th wedding anniversary, Don and Floreen went with five other couples on their first ocean cruise and enjoyed it so much they went on an additional eight cruises. For the last number of years he would meet on Wednesdays with friends for lunch where the topics usually centered on doctor appointments and related health issues.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 25th, at New Life Lutheran Church in Hugo, Minnesota with visitation from 10 – 11 that morning.
