Donald "Don" J. Cable

Don grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and was a true child of the 50’s. His interest in cars, cruising, TV shows, and music of that era was celebrated on a daily basis, and passed to his children and grandchildren. After service in the Army, he worked his way to top sales person at Guyer’s Builder Supply and then Trajet Products. He valued building relationships, making friends wherever he went.

Don is survived by his wife, Paula Cable (nee Miller); daughters, Julia Schmelzer (nee Cable) spouse, Wade Schmelzer and Cheryl Asmus (nee Cable) spouse, Jerry Asmus; grandchildren, Lauren and Eli Schmelzer and Aiyana and Tristan Asmus; sister Kay (Darrell) Lewis and brother Gary (Lora) Cable. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald F. Cable and Kathryn A. Cable (nee Svec).

Visitation will be from 1-2PM on Friday, November 30, 2018 with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 2PM, all held at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432.
