Dennis James Hale

Dennis James Hale, born March 3, 1934 passed away peacefully at his home in West St. Paul, Minnesota on January 15, 2026.

Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years before beginning a long and dedicated career with the St. Paul Police Department. He served the city of St. Paul from 1956 until his retirement in 1987.

Dennis was married to Betty (Beaver) Hale for 67 years. He is survived by Betty, his sister Kathy Hale, his daughter Lisa (Terry), his grandchildren, Nicholas (Molly), Molly and Angela, and his great-grandchildren James, Dominic and McKenzie.

Outside of his service, Dennis found joy in building and racing stock cars. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle across the country – always drawn to the road and the freedom it brought him. He loved to tell everyone that he almost made it to all 50 states.

Dennis will be remembered for his dedication to his family and the life he built with those he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
