Born on September 17, 1953, in Elgin, Illinois, Deb was the daughter of Lynn Hall and Ella Jane (Norton) Hall. She dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. As an emergency room nurse, Deb offered compassion, strength, and steady hands in life’s most critical moments.
Deb was the proud mother of her daughter, Jennifer Anton, and a devoted grandmother to Devin, Isabel, and Alyssa. She was deeply loved and admired by her family. Deb had a love for travel and found great joy in experiencing new places. Some of her most cherished trips included magical moments at Disney World, the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska, and the natural beauty of Glacier National Park.
An avid animal lover, Deb found joy and peace in the company of her horses and dogs. She also gave back in a unique and impactful way—serving as a puppy raiser for Leader Dogs for the Blind. Over the years, she lovingly trained 21 future service dogs, helping to bring greater independence to those who are visually impaired.
Deb is preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Ella Hall, as well as her sister, Nancy Calenberg. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Anton (Dana); her grandchildren, Devin Anton, Isabel Anton, and Alyssa Anton; her brother, David Hall (Judy); her sisters, Susan Kudronowicz (Brian), Mary Virant (David), and Sarah Schneider (Jim) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Deb’s legacy is one of compassion, dedication, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life dinner will be held on Friday, August 1st at 4:30 p.m. at Iverson Park. On Saturday, August 2nd, a burial will take place at 9:30 a.m. at McDill Cemetery, followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Frame Memorial Presbyterian Church.
