DeAnn Jean Hines (Schulz), age 45, of Apple Valley, MN passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 16, 2023. Dee was born on August 26, 1977, in Rochester, MN. She was a 1995 graduate of John Marshall High School; a 2000 graduate of the Minnesota School of Business where she obtained her degree as a medical assistant and a 2005 graduate of The College of Saint Catherine School of Nursing, where she obtained her Associate of Science degree. She obtained her Registered Nurse license in 2006.
Dee was united in marriage to Chadric Hines in 2004. They had one son, Chadric Hines Jr. and were later divorced.
Dee had a heart of gold and went out of her way to help people. She loved everyone and touched many people’s lives with her fun-loving spirit and cheerful personality. Dee loved Jesus and was very spiritual. Dee’s world revolved around her son, CJ. She loved him more than anything in this world. She cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed listening to music (she was rarely seen without her ear buds in), going to concerts, hiking and being outside. She loved dogs, especially her Schnoodle, Stella Blue. She was an avid Fiestaware and (heart shaped) rock collector, loved shopping and had a passion for traveling. Florida and the ocean held a special place in her heart. She traveled there annually and hoped to retire there one day.
Dee is survived by her son, Chadric Hines Jr.; her mother Carol Moore (Ron); her sisters Dana Molitor (Sean) and Cristina Schulz (Jay Alrick); nephews Dustin Molitor (Kerstie), Nick Molitor, and Jaxsen Alrick; great niece Adeline Molitor and great nephew Greysen Molitor; several aunts and uncles as well as several cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Dale Schulz, grandparents Elvera and Larry Schulz and Ollien and Gladys Paulson.
A wake will be held at Peace United Church of Christ in Rochester, MN on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, at 11:00 AM followed by the funeral at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester. Please join us for a celebration of life at 3:00 PM at Whistle Binkies on the Lake.
