David Vincent Klein

David Vincent Klein, age 86, of Rockford, passed away June 14, 2023 at the St. Cloud VA where he was being treated for Alzheimer’s. He was born in Chanhassen, MN October 2, 1936, the son of Henry Klein and Elizabeth Marschall. David is survived by his loving wife, Jan, his four children, Phillip, Peter (Lori), Paul (Roni) and Chrissie Korba (Dick), stepchildren James (Rachel) and Daniel (Lori) Newham, grandchildren Nicole, Beth, Zachary (Molly) and Willie Klein and Sara Trout, great-grandchildren Eli, Max, Rhett, Cason, Aria, Mila, Kinsley, Eleanor, and Silas, step-grandchildren, Dimitri (Samantha), Ivan, Andy and Lucy Newham and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Klein.

David was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Phillip and Steven Klein, Eva Provence, the mother of his children, Bette Klein and sister Dorothy Luers.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mound with visitation one hour before the service, interment to follow at the Mound Union Cemetery, and a luncheon at the Mound American Legion.

David was a life member of the American Legion and Mound VFW Post 5113, where he served as Commander in 1988-89. The family thanks the staffs of the Minneapolis and St. Cloud VA for their loving care for the last two years. Proud Veteran of the US Navy.
