David John Kiedrowski, a cherished resident of Apple Valley, MN, peacefully departed this life on September 22, 2026, at the age of 77, due to respiratory failure following a stroke five years earlier.
Born on June 9, 1949, in Minneapolis, David grew up in Richfield, Minnesota, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with love, laughter, and accomplishment. A proud member of the Richfield High School class of 1967, he continued to serve his country as a dedicated Veteran. David earned his degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, paving the way for a successful career at IBM in the Twin Cities until his retirement.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Dave could easily recount the passions that defined him. His greatest love was his family; as a devoted husband, father, and Papa to his three grandsons, he cherished every moment spent with them. He held his friends close and shared many joyful times, including playing cards and yard games often accompanied by the sounds of 60s music, especially the Beatles and the Beach Boys.
Traveling brought him immense joy, particularly day trips and cruises. He had a knack for cooking, relishing the opportunity to prepare big Sunday dinners for loved ones. An avid gardener, he took pride in his yard, renowned for his skill in bush trimming. His fondness for classic cars was evident, especially his beloved red '55 Thunderbird. A passionate supporter of Minnesota sports teams, particularly the Minnesota North Stars, he even enjoyed working part-time on the scoreboard. Above all, coaching his children and cheering them—and later his grandchildren—on in their sports endeavors brought him unparalleled happiness.
In a final act of generosity, David made the profound decision to become an organ donor, impacting the lives of 50 to 75 people through his donations.
David is survived by his loving wife, Pam Kiedrowski; his daughter, Lisa Kiedrowski Decker (Jason), and grandchildren Kaden, Rylan, and Hudson; and his son, Brian Kiedrowski (Brittaney).
A private interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
