Dave Joel Servis

Dave Joel Servis of Bloomington, Minnesota died on April 4, 2025, at the age of 87 years. He was born October 14, 1937 in International Falls, Minnesota. Dave served in the U.S. Navy. When he retired from the Gillette company in St. Paul, Dave enjoyed working on stained glass, woodworking, silversmithing, fishing, and traveling.

Dave is one of the original “save it, I might need it” people. He always had a quick comeback remark and a sweet grin. He loved his family and was kind to everyone. He felt blessed to spend winters in Arizona with his dear friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his daughter, Penny; step-son, Mark Douglass; parents, David Hans, Alice Servis; sisters, Mary Ann, Ellen. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Douglass), of Bloomington, Minnesota; daughter, Athena, of Clover, South Carolina; brother, Delane (Linda), of International Falls, Minnesota; step daughter, Lisa (Tim) Kledhans, of Lakeville, Minnesota; grandchildren, Emily (Joêl) Simon, Shawn, Shantel; great grandchildren, Mikayla (Tyler) Rollings, Matthew, Madeleine.

Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
