Darlene Delores Peterson

Darlene Delores (Gieseke) Peterson of Robbinsdale passed away at Parmly on the Lake at age 95 on Saturday, March 25, 2023. She was surrounded with love by her family. She was born on June 19, 1927 in Medina, North Dakota to Emil and Leah Gieseke. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1945. On May 24, 1946, she married Rolland (Pete) Peterson. They were married for 64 years and were blessed with four children; David (Linda) Peterson, Nancy (Craig) Weflen, Karen (John) Carlson, and Marnee (Bob) Jakowski. Darlene was an amazing role model for true love, loyal friendships, volunteering and amazing parenting. She enjoyed life to its fullest! Her sense of humor and wit will truly be missed. Darlene is survived by her children, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother Marvin Gieseke, sister Bonnie (Wayne) Worth, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Pete, daughter Nancy and sister Lorraine. Her celebration of life will be on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Valley of Peace Lutheran Church in Golden Valley with the visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m.
